The Republic in College Station, Texas…The filet divine. I am picky (think of Goldilocks)…if I go out to eat for steak I want to be able to cut it with a butter knife or merely use my fork. They have never missed their mark. Request and be detailed with how you like your steak if there is a dietary issue.
Their sauces color outside the lines. Tasty, homemade and a welcome addition.

This place is outstanding. Came for a Friday night meal and I couldn't have left happier. Food was excellent, the service was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere is quiet and formal.
While I didn't eat here, I called ahead to inquire about purchasing a gift card and was impressed at the quick and pleasant response.
Very encouraged I stopped by. Friendly greeters all very welcoming and helpful. Interior looked very comfortable and nicely decorated.
Food wat great. Our waiter, Jeff, was completely knowledgeable about the food and all beverages and h I s recommendations were spit on.

Oh my what can I say!?!? This was hands down the best experience I have ever had in BCS. Everything was absolutely on point. Steaks cooked perfectly, delicious sides, appetizers were delightful, dessert was phenomenal and cocktails were amazing. The service was so smooth and on point I didn't want to leave!! I can't imagine this place getting anything but 5+ stars. If you're into 5 star dining and you haven't been to Republic you have missed the train good friend!!
Wow...probably the best steakhouse I have ever been to. The ambiance? Excellent. The service? Attentive without being overbearing, sophisticated without being pretentious, helpful, and VERY patient. Our server Heather was top-notch, and I would recommend requesting her if you have the opportunity. The food? Absolutely incredible...the filet nearly melted in my mouth, and the sides (especially the mac and cheese) were outstanding. I don't know when I will again be in town, but I am already looking forward to my next visit!
Great stake. A little on the high side of price .
The only thing I did not like was the sides. If I want fry’s I don’t want to spend $9 and share them. Why not include a side or salad with the steak?
This place is really really good. I read some of the bad reviews, and idk what air plane glue they were sniffing before they entered but, if you can’t be happy here, then your a miserable person. I was impressed. I’d have to say the republic is the go to spot for a highish class dining experience for this area. I mean staff was all so polite and nice. Idk, I’d say they got it going on.
I've always heard so much about this place, but I finally got to go. The wait staff was very tentative, the food was fantastic and they handled a party of 18 pretty darn well!
