It was worth every penny! NY strip melts in your mouth! We sat next to pretentious uppity people with loud mouths, but the staff and manager very welcoming and efficient. Margaritas refreshing. We'll dine here again and we highly recommend.

I've had several excellent dinners at Sonny Lubick Steakhouse. The food was good and the service seamless. The waiter or waitress always anticipated my needs before I did. However, last night was a disappointing exception. It was an especially busy night at the restaurant and the wait staff appeared to be in the weeds by the time we got there at 5:30. It was graduation night at CSU. I regret now that I made a reservation on the same night as graduation, but it was my 75th birthday and I wanted to celebrate at my favorite steakhouse. Service was slow and disconnected. Food was late. My steak was not warm. My daughter's steak was undercooked, but she didn't want to send it back and wait even longer. The children got their food last and no-one ever inquired about how they were doing after waiting over an hour for their food. We were there for far too long, nearly three hours. I want to be sympathetic to the staff for having a busy night and the kitchen for having to put out so many meals for big parties, but we still had to pay hundreds of dollars for a much less than stellar experience. Great restaurants are consistent no matter what the circumstances. I won't be going back to Sonny Lubick Steakhouse for a long time, if ever. I would never ask my family to risk that much money again on an unpredictable experience.
