Cozy atmosphere inside and the patio is nice too. The food is always great and it’s always clean. Service can be hit and miss. I find it to be reasonably priced, comfortable and not snooty; a neighborhood favorite that’s been here through the ages.
here was a musty smell in the bar when we were seated, which was a little offputting. It was lunch so the restaurant wasn't too crowded, but there was only one server in the bar on Saturday afternoon, such is odd, but service was a little slow and the server was a little overwhelmed with having to wait on the tables and folks at the bar, so he was a bit short with us when you tried to get his attention. The food was ok, a little pricey for salads for lunch, and they don't offer substitutions, even for an extra charge, which wasn't great customer service. This restaurant has been in Ft Collins for years, I remember it being much better quality and service years ago, but I haven't been back in a long time. I'd say things have changed quite a bit, not planning on returning any time soon.
It’s a cosy local restaurant with pub-atmosphere. Food is a bit pricey for the quality, but it’s definitely better than chain restaurants.

I was very disappointed regarding my lunch. The beef was reheated and the auju was terribly salty. There was no pleasantries. No smiles. I told the hostess that I'd like closer seating since I have a struggle walking and chose the first available booth. She mumbled something I could not understand. Thought it might pertain to table being wiped down. Not sure but it was not wiped down ever. I brushes off crumbs myself. So letting you know. I have Multiple Sclerosis. The waiter came over and asked if he could move my walker from next to myself. Since he did not have a clear walkway to the one other table. I said fine. If I needed to get up and move about my only help is my walker. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding at The Moot house years ago. Through the years we have always had the Moot house as our go to place for lunch and dinner. Inviting numerous friends and family to dine with us. I was so sad to see and feel such a distasteful lack of service and rudeness plus feeling so unfortunate because I had a walker that was in the way in basically empty bar area of the restaurant. Not to mention absolutely not one smile from any staff. I felt as if I was a burden to the wait staff and my walker was just more then they could comprehend with a person with a disability. I won't be back. Very disappointed and felt very disrespected. I feel you need to train your staff to be more kind. I was a waitress/ server/ hostess and bartender for years as a third occupation daily to support myself and son as a single Mom. I know this is long but my lunch was one of the worst I've had in years. Not to mention that I felt disrespected for having a disability.

Fort Collins institution. Fantastic happy hour. Great menu. Definitely can get a good meal here.
Have been going to The Moot House for decades, they continue to hit it out of the park. Great food and staff!
Delicious food and amazing service. We had a large group and were able to enjoy the privacy of our own little room. The servers were super friendly. 10/10 would recommend the Moot House!
