Clog Pro Plumbing & Drain

Had Clog Pros out for an estimate on some significant sewer line work that needs to be done on a house we are in the process of purchasing. We ended up not using them for the work itself, but they were very professional. I also appreciated that they took the time to thoroughly explain their assessment and the challenges associated with the work. Will gladly call them again if needed!

Got a quote from another company for $400 more than Clog Pros. Danny was not only on time but early. Clog Pros called ahead to make sure that was fine. Hydrojetting cleared the clog in under an hour and problem solved. Fast efficient and professional. Definitely recommend.

During the Feb. 2021 ice storm, my sewer decided to back up and overflowed black water onto our basement floor. The roads were iced over and I wasn't sure anyone would be able to come out. I called three places with the best reviews... one said flat out "no way", and another one said they would call me back (which they did, but never gave an estimated time to come out). Clog Pro said that they were booked for the day but would call me back the next day between 8:30 and 10:00am. They called before 9:00 and estimated that someone could come out between 11:00 and 1:00, despite our power having gone out during the night. They called again just after 11:00 saying that they were on their way. Louis was able to quickly clear out the sewer line, check with video, and determine that the city had (10 years ago) replaced the pipe improperly in a way that caused slow buildup. When he was finished, he put everything back exactly as it was, including the washing machine that needed to be moved completely. I can't thank Louis and Clog Pro enough for their great work, attention to detail, timeliness, communication, and responsiveness when the city had shut down.

(Edit) Clog Pro called me after I posted this review and apologized for my experience, assuring me no manipulation was intended. As a gesture of goodwill they refunded me a portion of the cost of the job, which I appreciate. This type of follow up says a lot about the ownership and management of the company. Revised from 2 stars to 4.

First, the positive. They scheduled me quickly, came on time, and got our slow-draining bathroom sink flowing like new within less than an hour. The technician ran a motorized snake tool. Quick work.

I have 2 points of criticism that potential customers should be aware of. On the phone call to schedule I asked if they could quote me a price or price range for a house call to snake a drain and get it flowing. "No sir, we're wrong too often and would rather provide you a quote after we've looked at it." Okay. Fair enough. I was in a tight spot and wanted the drain to flow, so I scheduled. The tech showed up the next day and BEFORE looking at anything brought in his snake equipment and quoted me $265 for the job. I suppose I could have sent him away, but I was in a jam and he was in my home staring at me with pen in hand, so I signed the paper.
First, $265 for less than an hour of work and no parts involved seems high to me. Secondly, I've learned since this experience that other plumbers will at least quote a price range in advance with the disclaimer that a more complex problem will lead to a higher cost. That seems fair.
I feel like I was manipulated into paying a steep fee from Clog Pro for minimal work.

We've used them twice and they've done a great job both times. Pointed out seriously issues and fixed them at a very reasonable rate. Sam was great to work with.
