I love Times! It's the closest market to my home and they carry my favorite apples at the lowest price I've seen in the area. They have a good selection of produce. I can't wait to try the outdoor grilled food sometime.
Nice medium sized supermarket. Carries a nice variety of both american and asian vegetables, spices meats and other things. One of the only places that I've seen selling fresh real wasabi. Prices are also very reasonable compared to the other places that I've visited so far.
This location being that I reside Punahou area, most markets, shopping mall, flowers and leisure, Taylor, Keys, Mom & Pops small convenient stores are very proximal being centrally located.
This Times I've been shopping way back 21 years of age. Seafood agents, staff & night managers are helpful and courteous. As a consumer in this economy, it should be standard operating procedures with sincerity and they are.
All are owned via Don Quixote.
One of my faves! If you live in the Punahou, McCullough, Moiliili area you know this as your friendly neighborhood store. And if you don't...now you do. Not only is Times a local go-to grocery store, it also has an indoor hot food to go counter in front and deli in the back!
Love my neighborhood grocery store! Best produce on the island!! Small kine store so easy in and out. Employees are always so pleasant!
I was looking for jicama. Other names for jicama include yam bean, Mexican potato, Mexican water chestnut and Chinese turnip. There are fresh produce, frozen vegetables, fruits, meats and fish, fresh seasoned vegatables, seafood and meats, and utensils for the home. There are coffees and teas here too. There is a hor food section that is available during the weekdays. Snack and desserts are also here. There is a limited beer, wine and spirits section. There are items for the bathroom here as well. Look around as someTimes (pun intended) there are Manager's specials.
Their in house Char Siu is delicious. I appreciate this place as much for a cheap plate lunch as I do their affordable groceries.
The options are limited but the hours are great. The staff is helpful if you ask them for stunting otherwise they are pretty impersonal. It's convenient.
