Who doesn't like bottomless soup!!! The bake shop had a killer deal where you can purchase a bottomless bowl of soup and a bun (which was very large) for I think $11. That's highway robbery in my mind! What a great deal. I personally had the cup of soup and a grilled cheese on sourdough bread. The soup was fantastic and so was the sandwich.
My sweet tooth was also calling me after my soup and sandwich so I tried the brownie. Out of this world. Very right in chocolate and hit the spot. The cashier said that they rarely have the brownies out so it was a special. This is a for sure stop if you are in the Girdwood area.

I've driven 40-miles for their breakfast or lunch. Great food. Great service. Sometimes you'll need to wait for a table, or ask to share seats with folks not taking up a whole table. Friendly and fast. Check out their website.

he Bake Shop has been my favorite breakfast/lunch/early dinner spot for as long as I can remember! Their food is phenomenal and fresh! Talk about a good size portion too! The summer offers outdoor seating where you can sit amongst the flowers and eat!

I’m from San Francisco, I’ve been all over, and I get sour dough bread everywhere I go. This place has some of the best, easily top 5% including california places. Get the bread and pancakes. Eggs were fine but nothing special.

he breakfast, sandwiches and soups here are amazing. The pizza is average at best.

If you see a large table with only a couple people ask if you can join their table, it's perfectly acceptable at this small joint.

Delicious. Had pastrami and cheese. Homemade sourdough bread, grilled with cheese to perfection. I always love pastrami, theirs was no difference, but I think the bread was the standout star of the meal. ?

Had a sweet roll and coffee. Bought a coffee cup ($28) and they give you free coffee/refills with it, definitely worth it of you're in town a few days, and frankly it's a nice mug so it's worth it regardless.

Their sourdough is phenomenal as well. Definitely recommend stopping in.

he outside seating is beautiful and even on a busy day the wait wasn’t long at all. The spinach mushroom omelette was filling and went perfectly with the buttered toast it came with! I also loved the orange slice. The sandwich was super thick, you’re able to customize which toppings you want. They sell Alaskan sourdough loaves, we bought one to take home, but my favorite was their chocolate chip cookie. So doughy and sweet! They have free water inside for customers as well. A perfect lunch spot.
