Small resort with mostly older park models. Directly across street from airport so lots of very loud military planes taking off. Nice pool. Walmart next door within walking distance. Good location other than airport lol

It's always nice and clean very customer focused variety of events. One of advantages airport is across street a Walmart within walking distance and lots of eateries in area. Very happy customer I would recommend Suni Sands.

Love this park! We hosted here this winter. The whole place is pretty awesome. As are the staff, residents, and the RVER'S passing through. Lots of activities, pool, hot tub, shuffleboard, games, danc3s & parties. Lots going on, or you can chill, it's entirely up to your preference. Dog park & next door to Walmart, with a walk through gate. ❤❤❤

Would give 10 stars if I could. Clean pool and hot tub, quiet in the evenings, full hookups, helpful staff.

Visiting family that lives here. They love it, people are very friendly and connected. Quiet, except for the frequent military jet flyovers.

This is one of the smaller Encore parks that we've visited but it was absolutely wonderful. My wife and I stayed in full hookup site # 920 for 2 weeks and it was level and comfortable. Staff member Wayne and his wife Kathy escorted us to our site after check-in. I explained that we could easily back in ourselves but Wayne stated that park policy requires that he assist with this process. Now that is great customer service! Our only minor complaint was that the sewer connection was at the far back of the site. We had to hook 2 hoses together to reach it. The manager is named Lin and he was very friendly. Another office staff member named Sue helped us find local places of interest. I really cannot say enough about the excellent folks at Suni Sands. Everyone has a positive attitude and they are always willing to help. The park is located right next to a Walmart which is easily accessed through a secured gate. Here is the best part: the staff will pickup your shopping cart at your site and then return it free of charge. Talk about convenience! Free wifi is available at the main building and pool and it was pretty good. My AT&T phone had 3 bars and the hotspot worked great. A large oval walking/running path is located right next to the park so exercise is an option. There is a recycling bin for aluminum cans, cardboard and plastic (no glass.) Reverse osmosis water refills are available at the office for only 25 cents per gallon. Bathrooms and showers are clean and well-maintained. The pool looked fantastic but we didn't try it. You have to buy a $5.00 laundry card and then load money on it to use the washers & dryers. The refill machine was temporarily out of order but one of the full-time residents offered to let me use her card for free. I didn't accept but holy smokes her kind offer was incredibly generous! The Los Algodones Mexico border crossing is about 25 minutes away. We paid $6.00 to park on the U.S. side and then walked across. Yes a Naval Air base is located near the park and the jets are definitely loud, but they don't fly at night and it's only a few minutes of inconvenience each time. We actually enjoyed watching the aircraft fly around. Thank you Lin and team for an incredible stay!!!

I love to hear the jers from the Marine
Air base. It is a noisy park with the sound of freedom but quiet at night. We try to stay there every time we come to Yuma.

Older, small but very clean, quite and helpful staff. Very handy having Walmart within walking distance.

I love being between Marine Air force/Yuma International Airport and Walmart. RV living has very small storage for cold/package food. Living next to Walmart you can shop daily. The bonus is the Resort takes the carts back. As for the daily air show....its quiet at night!

Fairly typical Thousand Trails RV Resort. Good & bad things depending on your needs...location as it's right next to Wal-Mart if you want that type of convenience, it's right across from the airport so it can get a bit noisy with military practicing. February is the air show and you get a front seat for that. LOTS of snow birds come here.
