Oh my goodness. I love when the outside of an establishment is just 'blah', .. and then you go inside to see a trendy, hustling, set up where the kitchen is smack dab in front making your mouth water at all the amazing dishes. The staff were super cool and patient with us,... we had missed our flight, and had to lug our carry on luggage with us, we showed up way earlier than our reservation, and probably got in the way a few times.. of course the food was delicious. My only regret is that I didn't order dessert...

Shared a delectable Anniversary meal here this evening and was greeted with polite and personable staff, the food was exquisite and the atmosphere cozy despite being quiet busy, “Happy Anniversary” was genuinely conveyed by no less than three different staff members before we could even say hello to them and service was well timed and consistent throughout the evening. A+ Southside!

Went here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised by the food/service. Nice ambiance inside despite it being in a shopping center. Excellent pasta dishes - wish we could have tried the dessert but we were too full!

Ate there with friends and all of our dishes were wonderful. I had the wood fire pizza special and it was so delicious. Our server Linda was one of the best - personable and attentive. Overall a very good experience and I'll definitely be back.

Exceptional dinner. We arrived a bit early and the hostess provided exceptional customer service. The wait staff was also stellar. We always love the steamed clams, and they were perfection. Every dish was creative and beautifully prepared. Even the dessert plate was a piece of art.

Superior customer service and atmosphere. The owners were observed being attentive to customers and staff. The food was as to be expected, based off others reviews of the cuisine, absolutely delicious. It's intimate dining without feeling stuffy, families were dining together, as well as singular couples like ourselves. We look forward to dining here frequently!

Really nice atmosphere, seating is every other table due to covid. Clean. Beer and wine only. Samantha was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Caesar salad was one of the best I've had. Authentic in house dressing is key! Clam chowder was delicious. The halibut with black currant was absolutely delicious. I was hesitant about the currant but it was very savory, buttery, and complemented the dish perfectly. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly and the southwest flair with crema, Verde sauce was a nice touch. Overall we had a great time, were served promptly and the food was a 10/10

Absolute favorite restaurant in the state of Alaska. There are no other establishments with such incredible service and food. It’s a joy to dine there every chance we get. They know my husband and I, and they even know our favorite seats! Thank you Southside Bistro! ❤️❤️

Exquisite. Had an appetizer and 1 dessert item, both had incredible smell and flavor. Photos speak for themselves ! Sat at the bar and noticed all the Servers had good attitudes towards one another even when one was starting to worry about an order. This is a fine dining experience with an open kitchen view to the right and a wine bar with additional seating to the left. Come here for those classy one on one dates or just a good savory bite to eat after a long day.
