Perea's New Mexican Restaurant

Authentic New Mexican food where the locals eat and have been coming for years. Huevos rancheros, chorizo and stuffed sopas are to die for. Building doesn't look like much, but the cooking is excellent.

Best Chile Relleno in New Mexico. I have tried them all. These are by far the best i found. Great size, Good flavor peppers, usually cooked to have a great crisp to it, the cheese comes gushing out when you cut the tips off and topped with some of our states best red chile as well. The refried beans are home made the right way and there is always enough. Sauce and cheese left to fill the sopa. They have really great carna adovada as well but the rellenos are the big dog here and my son loves the pancakes too. Sometimes the servers get over whelmed but the food always comes quick and delicious.

Very good Green Chile

Perea's has been my favorite New Mexician restaurant for over 20 years. They have the best green chile anywhere! The red chile is top notch as well

It was ok but not great. Clean with decent service just not my style of New Mexican food.

Short of staff, but service was still great, food was great, outside looks rough, but very clean inside.

Excellent food. Huevos Rancheros was perfect,and the green chili sauce ( made in house) had just the right bite to it...
Would definitely come back again when in town.
