We visited on Labor Day Weekend.
The place was very busy with limited seating available. We were seated immediately on the patio area. Our wait staff person was friendly, relaxed, and available very quickly. Even though she was still in training and her experienced helper had to leave work earlier, Lexi handled the situation with a high quality and very professional response.
The kitchen and bar area was absolutely amazing with handling the food and drink orders. Yes, we had to wait a little while longer for our food than usual but the quality of everything was not affected by the busy conditions.
We have been visiting this place for many years and it is high on our list for excellent food choices, preparation, presentation, and great service!
Wonderful food. Had a martini (vodka, elderflower and lemon) which was delicious and only $11. Out table had calamari (yum) rosemary fries (yum) gyro plate (SO MUCH Gyro—seriously such a great deal. So much food for $17), a lamb kebab special (a little disappointing that there was only one kebab. Delicious but wanted more for portion size), make your own pizza (delicious), and a special order of shrimp pasta. The bread was honestly the best part of the whole meal. So soft and wonderful texture. Great oil dipping.
The place was super busy and clearly a little under staffed. Had to wait quite a bit for the food but the apps and bread helped. Server Nathan was attentive and kind despite his clearly large customer load. Will definitely go back!

The food is outstanding. There's something for everyone on the menu (I went for the "appetizer plate" & there was more than enough to share with my family). The place was mobbed & the staff member who confirmed my reservation apparently neglected to tell anyone, but they somehow managed to find us a table for 5, no waiting once I showed them the confirmation email. The prices are more than reasonable. Orapax has been around for years. Be prepared to search for a parking place - that's how popular it is. They even brought my 8-year-old granddaughter paper & crayons so she could draw while we waited for our orders (& it wasn't a long wait). If you haven't been there before, you're in for a real treat.
This restaurant is outstanding. The authentic family owned ambiance tastefully done with genuinely great service, quick kitchen and perfectly prepared scrumptious food makes it an instant staple for me and my family. It was our first time there and we are already planning out return. Our server Nicole was super and we had a wonderful conversation with Nick the owner after dinner. Excellent experience! Ate here last Thursday as a guest to a friends Bridal shower. This was my second visit. The atmosphere eludes to serious dining at first but quickly adjusted to a girls just want to have fun kind of feel. It’s definitely a family restaurant filled with great drinks (strong) and delicious food. Our waitress was so friendly and the kitchen manager frequented tables to bring out drinks and food as she was quite busy. He asked multiple times if everything was okay. He was handsome with a really nice and endearing smile which made us feel that he really loved his work. We played games and opened gifts. The Staff accommodated all our dining needs. Salads and dressings were homemade and fresh. Food was good and we really made some good memories. Another little slice of heaven that Ghent has to offer. Even the street parking was easy. I’m going back soon to taste the flounder. I hear it is delicious. My mouth salivated as I watched it being served. Yum!
If you're a vegan, this place is highly recommended. There is an extensive vegan menu. I got a vegan chicken wrap with pickled onions, hummus, eggplant. For an appetizer, we got fresh pita and hummus, which was really delicious. The interior decor is classy but not uncomfortably fancy or formal. Even though it was crowded, the service was great.
5+ stars!!! Food was Absolutely Divine, great service and very comfortable environment! We will definitely be making this a regular date night spot.
This place was amazing! The food was fantastic! Vegan HEAVEN! They have a whole vegan menu! It's like where do I start?! The staff was amazing, the food was delicious. The wait time was extremely minimal and it was packed!
Service was prompt and the servers very attentive. The atmosphere is great, with the lighting being *just* right for an evening meal, the back-lit bar adding an extra touch. It's an unassuming place from the street, but inside is very clean, nicely decorated.
The food arrived quickly, was delicious. I'd of added more lemon to the hummus recipe, but everything was excellent nonetheless. 5 stars for the entire staff!
Btw, their baklava is freakin' unreal.
