We had a great server. He got us everything he could and let us taste the wine. Great experience. The house was decorated beautifully.
We enjoyed a birthday dinner for 12. It was absolutely wonderful! The food was perfect-- much steak and seafood. The service was impeccable. We can't thank Tad enough for an unforgettable evening.
Food and atmosphere was very good. We had the scallops as one dish and short ribs for the other. Scallops were very good as were the short ribs. The short ribs could have been a few degrees warmer as could have the grits. I will go back and enjoy the food again. Most recent trip only included drinks and some desserts. I recommend the chocolate crunch tort but not the blueberry lemon cheesecake.
Server John was kind and quite attentive! My Entree was okay - Salmon over coconut rice. The flavors were spot on but the temp of the fish was a little "over". Their cocktail "Fall Old Fashioned" was FANTASTIC! Jubilant atmosphere and tables space apart.
Went to MJ's for the first time to celebrate a birthday. Food was great. Short menu but everyone was able to find something. Staff was attentative and good at what they do. Will be going back again soon!
They were an excellent venue to have a bridal shower. They were flexible for decorating, menus and libations. Beautiful day with shade umbrellas they set up. We had the whole back patio for the afternoon event.
Went to MJ's to celebrate my daughter's bday. We had visited earlier to ck out the atmosphere then cked again the day if the event. Our time had been moved from 7pm to 8pm after our numbers went from 10 to 20. The reason given me was because a larger space was needed. But the restaurant close at 9pm.
I developed a concern and asked would there be 2 waiters (yes) and that the food would not be leftovers or we would be told that the menu was limited. I was assured that it wouldn't be an issue.
The location was great and ready for us. We went in at 7:30 and was seated. We went by the menu that was on the website and everyone was ready to order but we were given a different menu that had just changed that day. We adjusted but was not happy because we had kids and it was not kid friendly or even similar to what was on the website. There was several times that I could have been informed during my conversation and ck times. In my spirit I felt we had been played. I plan to go back in the very near future to see which menu is being used.
My other concern is that there was only 12 of us and it took over an hour to serve us individually. We made the best of it and had fun and the waitress who came and helped with the cake was awesome. I would recommend the restaurant but ck it all out if you're hosting a group. Will I return? Yes
This place makes my heart (and belly) smile every time. Today was my 1st take out experience, and I'm pleased.
This restaurant was top notch, it deserved a ten star but only five stars were available. Short Ribs, mash potatos, yellow snapper fish and spinach would make you slapp somebody. The food was magnificent, the setting was very romantic and the service excellent.
