Amazing tour, extremely nice and knowledgeable staff. Got to walk through the farm and taste a cacao pod, learn about the chocolate making process, and even went back to their store to see chocolate making first-hand (and get delicious free samples)! Would definitely recommend as a must see coming to Hawaii for the first time!

This is the real deal! I have never tasted chocolate so authentic and close to the source. You haven’t tasted chocolate like this before! And I love supporting a real local farm like this. Five stars!

Lovely Lava dark chocolate latte

Small shop, we were excited to find this shop but the man working wasn't very friendly. He made us feel like we were bothering him so we did not stay long. Disappointing

The cutest little shop! We were able to swing by and sample their chocolates and speak to the owner's daughter. We got coconut truffles and 70% dark macadamia nuts :) definitely stop by, it's been one of my favorite stops on our trip to Hilo.

We recently partook in their Chocolate Tour and visited their store, and without a doubt, we can say that it was an unforgettable experience! The tour guide, workers, and owner were all very friendly and super excited to answer any questions we had. Their love for chocolate & agriculture is on clear display, and the knowledge they share with you is incredible! The CHOCOLATE also tasted incredible and their drinks were amazing! Will definitely visit again if I am in the area!

Great tour, great experience, Chocolate is excellent and you will learn a lot about how cocoa is grown and turned into chocolate. Highly recommended!

If I could give no stars I would. Visiting from Australia and was staying in a nearby Air BnB. Was going to get some Açai bowls and coffees this morning for breakfast here. Owner came out and said we couldn’t park out the front. Ludicrous. It was 2 hour free parking. And the shop was shut. Are you running a business or what? Scaring tourists off is not a good business model. Can’t comment on the product as the shop was shut.

The owner was there and I got to try 3 yummy chocolates from the samples on the counter. I loved all three:
70% Dark Chocolate
Spicy (nice spicy ? kick)
Ka’u (contained Ka’u coffee nibs)

I then went on to buy 2 chocolate bars, macadamia nuts and Coconut Truffles.

The farm tour was great! Introduced to all the growing stages of cacao. Sampled the ripe pods too! Lovely sustainable farm. (Wear shoes for walking in freshly cut wet grass - umbrella are provided if it's rainy). Our guide Ben was super knowledgeable and fun. Could really tell he is passionate about all things chocolate. The owner of Hawaiian Crown Chocolate, Tom, was also on hand. Gave us an even greater appreciation about the time and energy that goes into making delicious (and healthy) chocolate. The accompanying factory tour follows and is at the small shop in downtown Hilo (down the street from Two Ladies Confectionery). Tasted chocolate nibs and two versions of chocolate while learning more of the processing. Then into the shop itself to see and smell the last stages. Enjoy a 10% discount on purchases and the secret to unlocking a 5% non-expiring discount on future website orders
