UPDATE: AC was fixed!
It was a breath of fresh air, selection wise. But it was pretty hot inside with the countless spotlights at max brightness. I think semi-opem sun shades to cover the top half of the floor to ceiling windows would show off the window displays, and keep it cool. The multiple fans helped, but best to visit early or in the evening.
Fun store with so many mangas, stationary, plushies, magazine, etc. It's my new favorite store in Austin!
Love coming here, if you're interested in Gundam they have a small collection. Lot of Manga which is amazing, cool anime gifts, and oddly enough a lot of pens. Like an entire shelfing area of pens. And some AMAZING looking book ends that have 3D effects.
Huge selection of books, gifts, art, manga, and cute trinkets! Just wish there was air conditioning haha
Excellent selection of stationary, fantasy books, gift trinkets, etc. Only thing to watch out for is the no return policy and no exchanges.

I have been a member for years. Good to know the Austin location is also the place to go, especially for Japanese pens and pencils
I love kinokuniya and i make a whole day of coming here. It’s quite a drive for me but incredibly worth it. The only downside I can find is that I often spend more money than I should because I love everything they sell. Some of my personal favorite things they sell are paper theater kits and mystery boxes/blind bags.
An entire selection of manga, novel, and collectibles of all various sorts and types. 10/10, ultra epic.
