French For Sugar

Love this place! I needed some macarons for a business meeting. They were out of stock when I went to pick up the day before the meeting. The owner helped me out and make some for me to pick up next day! She was a life saver. The macarons were yummy! The best I have ever had. 10/10 recommend this place.

I can’t recommend French for Sugar enough! When I say the BEST bakery in Denver, I mean it! I own an event company and use them frequently and have always had a great experience. Morgan is a so talented at what she does. I give her an inspiration photo and she literally can recreate exactly what I gave her and then some. I’ll forever use French for Sugar and you should too!!

This bakery is hands down the best place around for cupcakes. They’re perfectly sized (not too big, not too small), have plenty of tasty frosting that’s sweet without being cloying, and the cake itself is soft and delicious. It’s the Goldilocks of cupcakes, seriously. Plus, everything looks as good as it tastes, so it always feels like a special treat. Wrap this all up with super friendly staff and an adorable shop, and you’ve got pretty much the perfect place for a sweet treat when you need a pick me up. They even have gluten free options that are almost indistinguishable from the full-gluten ones. If you like sweets and haven’t tried this place, you’re seriously missing out.

Edit (August 2022): I wish I could make a second review, but since that doesn’t look like an option, I’m editing my original to say I recently decided to splurge on a fancy cake for my birthday party, and Shadee really went above and beyond to make it something special! She was very patient with my lack of vision beyond “I want something eyeball themed,” and always had me feeling she was as excited about my cake as I was.

I was absolutely thrilled with how it turned out, and it was a HUGE hit with all my guests! Everyone loved it, and multiple people wanted to know where I’d gotten it. Almost no one could believe it wasn’t covered in fondant when I brought it out, because the buttercream was so smooth and perfect.

I have never ordered such a fancy cake before, and was very intimidated before I began the process, but I really can’t say enough about how wonderful an experience I had. Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for the perfect desert for their special occasion - or just because it’s Tuesday ?

Ordered a custom cake and macaroons for my graduation party. Shadee was incredible - kind, accommodating, and a genuine artist! She made my cake look exactly how I wanted it, and it was so tasty too. Cannot recommend this bakery enough!

Omg what an adorable surprise of a spot in Denver!!!! Everything looks mouthwateringly good and they really all do taste just that! It was a last minute stop by and so picked up several options of their cupcakes to surprise my bae for his birthday and everyone who had one was floored at how not only the cake part being delicious but the buttercream frosting was just as lucious and delicious as well. Also grabbed a key lime bar and it had the perfect balance of tart and sweet. Staff is so very nice and was really accommodating when I asked if they could possibly write a happy birthday sign to stick on one of the cupcakes.
Definitely will be back and highly recommend that locals go and support this bakery!!

French for Sugar was an absolute dream for our wedding!! My husband and I stumbled across Michelle, Shadee and team as we tried various bakeries around Denver, and we are so grateful we did. The team was so professional, communicative, responsive, and organized. We had a mix of mini cupcakes, cake pops, and other small desserts with over ten flavors and the team executed flawlessly. Our wedding guests could not stop raving about how delicious all the desserts were. We are from the east coast and will without a doubt be stopping back at French for Sugar every time we are in town!

This place is beautiful and full of charm. The cupcakes are absolutely delicious and wonderful and so beautiful! Very happy with this bakery!

French for Sugar did the cake for our wedding this last weekend and it was PERFECT. It was beautiful and delicious! They were so easy to work with leading up to the wedding too. They are now our household bakery for all special occasions. We love them!

I was visiting from out of town and came upon this bakery. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Denver. The cupcakes were the best I have ever had and the staff was also incredibly friendly.

This is the best place in Denver. Best cup cakes, macaroons and desserts. Everything just melting in your mouth and you can’t stop trying it. If you are looking for best desserts you have to come and try them here.
