First time at Fratelli's and wow were we impressed! Busy dinner rush, and the entire staff busted their humps to provide excellent service and delicious food. Meatballs and antipasto salad - along with the complimentary bread served with pesto - pretty much filled us before our pomodoro and lasagna arrived. Authentic flavors and great service - winning combination.
Thank goodness this place survived COVID! They have the best red sauce in town, hands down! It makes all their traditional Italian dishes superb!
BEST FOOD EVER!! If I could give 1000000 stars I would! Fast food delivery and service. Staff is kind, helpful, and very attentive! Holy moly.. this place has it going on! From 1st appearances I would have guessed that this place was closed or ghetto. Sadly, no curb appeal but it's a hidden gem for sure!!!!
This is our go-to restaurant, our "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. Brandon, Austin and friends run a truly family-oriented restaurant, and it shows in everything they do. Their team is truly a family, and while they've endured numerous hardships (especially since the COVID pandemic), they have endured, and you'd never know they were any worse for the wear.
Every time we go, we're greeted by not only the host(ess), but numerous servers, cooks, bartenders, or whoever notices we came in. Sometimes just a tip of the head and a friendly smile, but the welcome is unmistakable. And it's not just us -- I see this when other diners arrive as well, and they never fail to thank you for coming as you leave. Servers run food for each other, bus tables, and whatever else needs doing. I've never EVER heard "not my section, I'll get your server" as I have in so many other restaurants, and I suspect anyone who had that attitude wouldn't last long on this team
Now, that's just the technical stuff of outstanding restaurant management. Let's talk food!
We've ordered every item on the menu over the years, and we have a few favorites we just keep revisiting. For starters, the crusty bread and dipping oil are just amazing. You get those before you even order anything. The Oceanside Summer Salad we order almost every time we come in. Refreshingly tangy, crunchy, sweet, just delightful! They do make a mean Caesar, but the Summer Salad wins the nod for us. The Tuscan Soup (creamy Italian sausage and potato soup) is outstanding as well. Their bruschetta is top-notch, and the Italian Fries are too. The spaghetti with meat sauce (or marinara, depending on our whim at the moment) is one of our go-to comfort foods. So is Tortellini Pesto, usually with Italian sausage or chicken added. Lasagne is a HUGE portion, and absolutely scrumptious! Make sure you're hungry if you order it. Chicken Marsala has been off the menu since COVID to help the kitchen streamline and survive. Quite understandable, but we can't wait to order it again as soon as it's back. The pizzas and calzones are excellent as well. Eggplant Parmesan is a delightful riff on an old favorite. The steak with Gorgonzola sauce is always delicious, served with garlic smashed potatoes. Be sure to order Fallbrook Winery's BDX to drink with it — a true local gem of a wine. Get the idea? Oh, sorry I forgot dessert. You MUST try the tiramisu. If you're having a large party or a catered event, ask them to make their homemade version -- it's even better than the regular, but it's not on the day-to-day menu. Cannoli, spumoni, cheesecake, you just can't go wrong, but it's the tiramisu that we order to go if we haven't saved enough room for it — goes well with next-morning coffee too!.
In short, this is our most-loved restaurant, and we hope to see you there soon.

Beyond words delicious... Enough food for three servings easy... Worth every penny
This is our go to Italian restaurant. Far better than any spot in San Diego we’ve been to! From the Cesar salad (definitely add salmon or shrimp!) with the exquisite dressing to the eggplant parm or lasagna, the food is absolutely excellent. The service is fantastic. Attention to detail in their menu and ambiance leaves nothing to be desired. Highly recommended. We have been here many times over the years and are never disappointed!
If you are looking for the freshest homemade pasta sauce and pasta, this is your place. I love pasta and I love this place.

The place was clean and service was pretty good. The veggie pizza was perfect, the eggplant was good, the pasta was a little uncooked so I did not eat that.
Ok guys this place is awesome, I’m from the east coast where Italian food is to die for. In five years I have not found any Italian food worth eating. From down town San Diego to north county. Go to fratelli’s in Oceanside
