Favorite spot in Austin! ? I live North but it's definitely worth the drive! Has indoor seating now, and is growing little by little every time I go.
My office manager suggested we go here one time after finishing up a sales call in South Austin, and boy oh boy am I glad I did. Literally some of the best Mexican food I have ever had, and I've lived my entire life traveling around Texas, eating the best of the best. El Paso style FTW! Drowned tacos, drowned fries, crispy tacos oh my. Can't wait to go back and try a dog.
I love this place. Is it possible y’all can open up at 12 noon that my lunch time lol thanks and hopefully y’all can in the future!
I had the enchiladas and they were so good and comforting. My partner had one of the hotdogs and was also impressed. This will be a new regular spot for us and I can't wait until the interior is done (though it's done enough now to dine in).
Amazing! Went Sunday for dinner. And next day wanting to go again. Very spicy for get salsa on the side. But damn good!
This place is definitely a must go to if you're in Austin visiting or live there.. i am from El Paso, but moved to San Antonio about 4 years ago. One of the things I miss about El Paso is the food.. Well, people had told us about El Perrito ATX.. the owner is from El Paso.. the food is authentic Mexican antojitos! No manches! Comida mega deliciosa! The rolled tacos in the sauce are the bomb.com! The flautas are huge and amazing full of flavor..the hotdogs, literally everything is amazing! I felt like I was eating in El Paso once again. And way better than Chicos Tacos!! This food is full of flavor and made with love and passion for food! I cannot wait to go back again to eat there and bring some back home to San Antonio! Please keep doing what you guys are doing! I grew up in El Paso, TX.. and I’m sure I’m going to get hate votes for what I’m about to say but… these taquitos were way way better than Chico’s Tacos. Seriously the taquitos are freshly made, crispy with enough meat. Then add the tomato sauce that has plenty of flavor and melts the cheese to perfection! You want to try an El Paso staple with actual flavor… look no further
Lots of love in the food at El Perrito! Had an order of El Chico’s tacos, an O.G. Perrito, and an ELP doggie combo! We will be back!
