Was there for a private party with a fixed menu, so I didn't look at a menu. The food was extremely good. Every dish was very well seasoned and most had a definite kick. The Mac and Cheese was my favorite, while my wife really enjoyed the candied yams. We will be back during regular hours to see prices and try some of the other items.
Awesome place, awesome employees and awesome food! i drive from waco regularly to eat here and have never been let down.. the gumbo is my favorite!
This was my husband and I first time here. We came about 30 minutes before closing on a Sunday, so of course everyone was ready to head home. Black owned, workers were respectful. Cook to order fried dishes. The owner Damian came out to bring us our food since a few workers had to head out and told us his story. Must say, very nice guy. We had the fried wings, fish, Salisbury steak(all the BOMB, must try) Mac N cheese and red beans and rice also on point! Yams were ok, but still good. Those little corn breads, mannnn, they really should be bigger, I was mad I only got one. Next time I know to order an extra corn bread- it was the BOMB... next time we will come early to sit down & eat! Seasonings on EVERYTHING WAS ON POINT-- NO NEED TO ADD ANYTHING...some were a bit spicy, but hey this a LA based restaurant! Overall, Great JOB Damians crew ❤️ ?
Really was looking for a bite to eat and I read the reviews and when I say you want be disappointed I’ll definitely be back and will be referring everyone I come across thanks for the great customer service and the food is definitely 10/10

I had the 3pc catfish with x2 rice n gravy?
My wife had the chicken fried chicken with cabbage, rice n gravy. The GRAVY??! Mightilicious!! Catfish WELL seasoned, chicken fried chicken tender and juicy, cabbage delicious, everything was great! Definitely will be coming multiple times a week!
New to area but always had friends text me pics of their plates. I was so jealous because we don’t have this type of food in the DMV! Let me just break it down fa y’a. Salisbury steak bomb ?; rice and gravy bussin just like my mommas; slow smoked ribeye steak will bless your soul on Sunday. Cake/cheesecake both delicious Slowly working my way through the menu ? but moral of this review is get in your car and go Visit Damion’s! And he’s from my home state Louisiana. Forgot to mention great service Melissa is awesome.
We were extremely impressed with the quality of the meal and the catering services provided by the staff. Thank you all for making our wedding day so amazing and memorable. Our guests loved everything, especially the cabbage and mac & cheese! Also thank you to Mr. Damian & team for your patience, stability, and flexibility during the wedding planning process as well as our wedding day. We have recommended their services to our family and friends, and I would also recommend them to anyone interested in delicious food.
Their Oxtail meal was very delicious and cornbread. Peach cobbler and Vanilla pound cake was awesome!!!
