Jeph, the king in his domain leaves me speechless every time , like a little kid my heart pounded today waiting to see how my hair will look like after the color and toning service I got, and like every time he never lets me down, putting all his heart and soul to make sure I looks at my best. It’s a true VIP treatment and ladies if you are having a bad day for whatever reason, black the salon is where you should be and you will sure leave with a smile on your face and a hair that faces the world.

Best haircut of my life! Jeph, the owner, is a wizard. He did a better job than anyone ever has before. The ambiance of the salon slaps. Definitely a luxurious experience. I will definitely be returning.

Had my makeup done for a wedding (just a guest). I was probably the worst because I had no idea what I wanted going in, but walked out ecstatic with the results. Very friendly staff, easy to find location, and clean salon. Will definitely be returning for future services.

I had such a wonderful experience at Black the Salon - Corktown, I was greeted right when I walked in the door and offered a beverage. Jordan is a hair styling goddess, I am so happy with my new haircut. I chopped off a good 9 or more inches, something I haven't done in a long time, and I'm so glad I did it. Jordan was efficient, thorough, and meticulous, I will be recommending her and the salon to everyone.

Jordan at Black the Salon in Corktown has been doing my hair for about a year and a half now. I came to this salon because I was looking to go blonde from dark brown and she made this transition flawlessly with no apparent damage to my hair and in fact it has remained so soft (which is so hard to maintain with bleaching consistently!) Jordan has a passion for hair and does everything she can to execute your vision while keeping your hair looking amazing and healthy. Highly suggest this salon and Jordan!

This is an incredible salon with wonderfully imaginative stylists. I have been visiting the royal oak location for a couple of years and am always pleased with not only my hair but also the excellent service that I receive. You can't find stylists that know their stuff more than these folks at Black the Salon.
