So much better than other spots I’ve tried Downtown. From the lucky budas, hsu to the Kongs. It’s my first order but finally a spot that does general tso chicken just right. Not too much sauce, not too chewy, fresh and not too spicy. Add a crispy option and that would be interesting. Other than that it’s just right. Plus the sticker and candy on the side was a nice touch.
Keep it up. Try them for yourself.
Big Boss Lives! I used to go to Chinese Buddha back when I was in school and they nailed it with the scaled down menu. The weekly specials are amazing, especially the Chow Fun. Dine in is super quick and the aesthetic is instagram worthy. Try the entire menu.
My first time going here, trying to find a new "go-to" closer to home. I think this is it! Doesn't have a large menu, just typical Chinese food: fried rice, egg rolls, chicken, shrimp and beef. Definitely coming back!
Cool place. I got General Tso's chicken. Very good quality meat and not a soggy breading. The sauce was great, though not spicy as requested (not that they didn't accommodate, just not a very spicy add). White rice cooked perfectly.
This place is great. The vibe in here with the light and decor is really cozy and nostalgic. The staff taking orders at the front is friendly and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Glad to have a casual neighborhood Chinese restaurant in the area.
Great food and good portions. Some of the best Chinese I have tasted in a long time. Reminds me of New York! The atmosphere and music is great! Street Fighter II was a great touch. Coming back for sure m.
I love going here with my friends. The restaurant has a unique vibe and I love playing the street fighter game. This is probably my favorite Chinese takeout place. They're Mongolian chicken, chicken lol mein, and chicken fried rice are amazing. :)
We have been going here since opening week every Monday for dinner and we LOVE every dish we have had. Every dish has a vegetarian version which is news worthy by itself! The General Tso is the best in the city. The space feels like you are in an episode of Squid Games or a Quentin Tarantino movie. Love it!!!!
WHAT?!!! So excited for this revamp of Chinese Buddha! Once we heard the news of Big Boss, we HAD to try it!!! While the menu has shrunk, our favorites were available. We had egg rolls, fried rice, Mongolian beef and garlic chicken. Everything was as good as we remembered! So happy to have our spot back!
A really good first experience! I ordered General Tso's Chicken, Egg drop Soup and an order of egg rolls, I was thoroughly pleased with each item. The Genera Tso's Chicken was cooked to perfection, it had a little crunch and a savory sauce. The egg drop soup was great, I added a little black pepper because that's how I prefer mine and the crispy wontons were the perfect compliment as usual. The egg rolls were fried well and weren't greasy, that's good enough for me. I'll definitely be returning soon.
A few things to note.The parking is a little tricky so pay attention to the signage. Getting to the building from the parking garage is not the best experience because it is in the back of the restaurant.
The interior is really dope and has a nostalgic but yet futuristic feel to it.
