Great food, Great staff, always professional, and always happy to serve you. Prices are fair, place is up to date. Not once was there a frown on the face of a customer thank you.

The food was delicious and the service was great very friendly waiters and owners they would reach you out to make sure you are having a great time and the price was very fair, overall I had a great time at this restaurant and I recommend you to go there.

Excellent food and service. Our host was VERY friendly and helpful with choosing items given our unfamiliarity with the cuisine!

This place is amazing! The food is delicious and leaves me feeling great after every time. One of my favorite places to eat in Denver.

I had never had Ethiopian food before, but the reviews here sold me. I’m happy to say I was pleasantly surprised! My girlfriend and I ordered the veggie platter and meat platter, which they served together on one plate. Each dish had incredible flavor, especially the Chicken. We were suggested to try the honey wine with our meal, which was also sweet and delicious.

We love this Ethiopian restaurant, we always order combination platter and consistently it tastes good.

Great food. Not so great on customer service. Server came only once to our table the whole two hours we were there.

I arrived midweek, midday, and in the middle of absolutely no other customers in the whole place. Two friendly young women were busy behind the counter, however, so I think mine was not the only takeout order in preparation. I did not want to bother them by asking questions, although later I wish I had asked a few!

When my order arrived, it smelled delicious. The containers were tightly bagged and bundled, but a tangy aroma could not be confined. In the car, heading home, it took enormous effort not to poke around and nibble on items at each red light.

At home, we opened the packages and surveyed our order with all the relish of pirates looking at unearthed treasure. It was a simple order, really. Just three items. The meat combination, the vegetarian combination, and two sambusas.

The vegetarian combo is described this way on the menu: “Misir Wot(Spicy Red Lentils), Gomen (Collard Greens), Fasolia (Green Beans and Carrots), Kik Alicha (Split Pea Curry), and Tikle Gomen (Green Cabbage with carrots and potatoes).”

And that was exactly what was in the order, packed with three (or was it four?) enormous folds of injera, the slightly sour, spongy flatbread. It smelled delicious, it looked delicious, it tasted… well, delicious.

The meat combo was another matter. It is described this way: “A combination of your choice of four meat dishes (Kitfo, Yebeg Alicha, Doro Wot, and Key Wot).”

I’m going into detail about this because I wasn’t sure about this part of the order. It still looked and smelled delicious, and there were massive folds of injera to be enjoyed… but I was confused, too. I couldn’t tell if I had four samples of meat dishes or just one or two of the four mentioned in the menu.

I think it was one of the four. Maybe two? There was no kitfo - minced beef with Ethiopian cheese (iyb) and collard greens (gomen). There was no yebeg alicha - strips of lamb in herbal butter. No, I think it was doro wot, described in the menu as “Ethiopia's National Dish. Tender chicken parts are gently simmered in an onion and berbere based stew. Served with one hard-boiled egg.” There was definitely stewed meat, a hard-boiled egg, and even a chicken leg, marinated to tangy perfection. But there also seems to be some beef stew - key wot - so maybe I had two out of three?

When I ordered, I had not specified a meat choice - which might be the wise thing to do next time. Still, the two kinds meat were both quite tasty. I must also mention the sambusas - large, triangular fried pastries loaded with lentils and potatoes. Like samosas from India, except much larger. Very good!

I would be happy to return and try some of the other dishes on the menu, although I will try to be a little more proactive in making my selections. Part of the enjoyment of ethnic meals is the experience of eating something different, something new and even unexpected... but it is also rewarding to talk with the servers and hear what they have to share.

Wonderful experience. My boyfriend and I ordered on Grubhub and the order didn't go through, so when we arrived the food obviously wasn't ready. They apologized and went above and beyond to get us our order as quickly as possible. The staff is kind and caring and the food was delicious. Highly recommend ordering from here.

Score! While all the young knuckleheads were waiting in line for weak mimosas and overpriced banal brunch, I had a transcendent meal here in blissful peace. Don’t let the mid day peace and quiet trick you. Best ful I’ve had anywhere and vegetarian combo was also terrific. Lovely spot!
