Detour Bakery

I love this place so much!
Their croissants are like scrumptious crispy puffs of air and their bread transports you to a warm European breakfast gathering in the golden sun.

Running errands in the area and had some time to kill. Wonderful little spot with great staff — I tip my hat to Eric, who was super helpful and kind. I left with a mixed berry tart, chocolate and nutella croissants, and another more savory pastry. All were delicious. If you find yourself nearby, be sure to drop by.

Great Boulangerie. Friendly staff. The baguettes are perfect for foie gras and the rye is spectacular.

Fabulous European bakery. Very friendly and helpful staff. The chocolate croissants are top-notch, as are the multi grain bread and quiches. Limited hours, call ahead to make sure they’re open.

I've tried Detour maybe five or six times now. It's great. This place is first and foremost about croissants. Plain, almond, chocolate, savory. If you like croissants this is your place. The clafoutis is amazing. Quiche too. I was looking for pure Parisian baguette and that is a little meh for me here. But they do have good other breads. They also have lots of other cool pate and spreads in the little shop area too. I love this play.

There is no other bakery, definitely not in Colorado, maybe not for 1,000 miles, as good a this bakery. The owner is also the owner of a real French accent.

Parmesan Leek croissant: perfect.
Day-old croissant rum raisin bread pudding thing: perfect.
Berry fruit spongy thing: perfect.
Butter croissant: perfect.
Goat cheese tomato baguette: perfect.

Stop paying $5 for Grands biscuits at other bakeries.

Closed on Sundays and Mondays so I have time to eat vegetables in between.

We ordered a Vanilla Buttercream birthday cake for my son's birthday and it was delicious. The cake was moist and soft with the perfect balance of sweetness. They have a variety menu with different desserts and cupcakes. I would highly recommend this place.

Absolutely everything here is wonderful! The owner is very friendly as is all the staff. It’s about a 20 minute ride for us, but it is so worth it. Once you try it, you’ll be hooked like we are.

Great bakery with authentic French baked goods and groceries. This is a little gem in Denver. It's a cute location too. There is seating outside. The owner is very friendly.
